The Genesis of B. O. B. Listed September 23,2014

So you started another blog about black owned businesses and your desire to practice the principles of UJAMAA who cares?

The truth is to my pleasant surprise this isn't a new concept. In fact this is a continuum of the practices that those of African ancestry throughout the Diaspora have practice since the beginning of time. Collectivism, cooperatives, and group economics is our tradition. Many may practice it now but our ancestors conceived. cultivated, and founded this concept.

So what took you so long you might be asking?  The truth is I just didn't have the courage to express it in this format until now. Although this is a first for me in the bloggosphere, I have always practiced this concept in the context of the sense realm living.

Recently, I read an amazing article published by mother Jones on the "Our Black Year" author Maggie Anderson. This encouraging piece crafted talented Tim McDonnell stirred up my cognitive senses and provoked me to write this very post. Although the timing is someone predated the feeling continues to linger like the sweet aroma of a beautiful women on a warm summer day.

My agenda of intentions are not hidden but made clear. As a child it has been my greatest desire to see those of African ancestry restored to the same prestige, prominence, prosperity, perspective, position, and rich heritage that our ancestors pre colonization once held. As a stolen people whose history, land, and culture was stolen we face great obstacles.

In spite of all the adversity we may face I believe we are more than capable of overcoming the affects of this grave injustice. What you can expect from this blog going forward is unapologetic, uncensored, and uninhibited love, upliftment, education, and inspirational testimonies. The great achievements and successes in businesses of Men, Women, and children of African ancestry will be highlighted here.

In closing it is my sincere hope that every reader of this blog will be encouraged, enlighten, educated, empowered, and provoked into action. My hope is that in love we will adore each other, celebrate each other, support each other, uplift each other, encourage each other, and work together with each other as a result.
